The project SocialWeb - SocialWork aimed to improve children’s online safety by availing the positive energy and influence of social work on children and youths at risk.

It was funded by the European Commission as a knowledge enhancement project in the Safer Internet Programme with partners from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland and Spain, coordinated by Stiftung Digitale Chancen, Germany. The duration of the project was from mid-May 2012 till the end of June 2014.

Within the project, the project partners were working together with a broad variety of associated partners to enhance knowledge about the role of social work in the field of youth protection and online safety.

An Advisory Board supported the project consortium with their scientific background on the one hand and their expertise for social work on the other hand.
